Trade your BTC for XBT, or your XBT for BTC, directly with someone else. Both of you lock your coins in a contract on chain: either you both get paid, or you both get your coins back. Nobody holds your coins in the middle — not the other person, and not us.
A real swap between two phones, start to finish — narrated, with captions on screen.
What you see, and the few things you do. Everything else the app does for you.
You need two wallets from your recovery phrase: one on the chain you pay with, one on the chain you receive on. Then:
You pick one.
Choose the wallet you pay from and the one your new coins go into. Slide, or tap Min, 25–75% or Max — Max is everything that wallet can swap after the commission and the network fee.
You set the amount.
Your price is a limit: you'll never get less. The app shows it against the NeoxEX market price, and warns you when it's far off. The commission is 0.5% of what you send (at least 400 sat), plus the network fee.
You tap Find a match, or Swap with a person to get a code to share.
You see exactly what you send, the commission and what you receive before you commit. For an offer from the list, that's on the Take screen at the offer's own price; for a code, the terms show once you look it up. Either way your app checks the match itself — anything that doesn't match what you saw is declined.
You tap Take (an offer) or Accept (a code).
Whoever sends XBT goes first: the app locks the XBT in the contract as soon as both have accepted. You can close the app — it carries on in the background, and the swap shows on Home and on both wallets.
Nothing to do while the app is unlocked.
If you send BTC, you go second: once their XBT has 6 confirmations (about an hour), it's your turn, and you have about 2 hours. The swap screen counts down to it and shows the deadline.
Nothing to do yet.
Putting your coins in needs the app unlocked. If it is, it happens by itself. If it has locked itself, a notification asks you to open it — do, before the time shown.
You open Fortis and unlock it.
Each side collects the other's coins; the app does it for you, even while locked. When the swap says Done, your new coins are in your wallet.
Nothing to do.
The contract on chain decides, not a person, and not us.
If the other side doesn't lock their coins in time, the match is cancelled. Their app then releases yours straight back to you — within minutes, automatically. If their phone is gone for good, your coins come back on their own at the refund time instead (48 hours for XBT, 24 hours for BTC).
Nothing to do.
Restore your recovery phrase on a new phone, with both its XBT and BTC wallets. The app looks for your swaps that still have coins locked and finishes them — refunding or collecting. It also runs on its own after a restore, and from Settings → Find my swaps.
You restore your phrase.
Swaps are new. Start with small amounts.
